Edition 17 – Ramona Schardt

Today, I am talking to Dr. Ramona Schardt. Ramona is the Secretary General of the German Arbitration Institute (DIS). The DIS is the leading Arbitration Institute in Germany and one of the largest institutions in Europe. It administers around 280 arbitration proceedings and other out-of-court dispute resolution proceedings between German and foreign parties every year.

Edition 15 – Victoria Pernt

Today, I am talking to Victoria Pernt. Victoria specializes in international arbitration and is a member of the dispute resolution practice of Schoenherr. She acts as counsel and arbitrator in commercial and investment disputes. She holds several positions such as Head of Europe for Arbitration Channel or Head of Europe Representatives at Young ICCA. She is also an ArbitralWomen member and member of the Equal Representation in Arbitration Pledge (ERA & Young ERA).

Edition 14 – Wendy Gonzales

Today, I will talk to Wendy Gonzales. She is the founder of CyberArb.com, a non-profit and global initiative to mind the gap between cyber security and arbitration/ADR. She is certified by University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School Programme on Cyber Security for Business Leaders as well as on the pathway certificate by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).

Edition 13 – Lizzie, Katja, Emily & Juliette

Today, I am not talking to one person but to four people about the metaverse and more precisely MetaverseLegal. MetaverseLegal was launched in January 2022 as a decentralised LinkedIn page dedicated to the legal implications of the metaverse. It offers a cross-practice resource for lawyers to understand the metaverse. MetaverseLegal was initiated by Ekaterina Oger Grivnova, who handed over decentralised governance to administrators – who are volunteers contributing to the MetaverseLegal community.

Edition 12 – Stefanie Efstathiou

Today, I am talking to Stefanie Efstathiou. Stefanie is a Greek-German jurist (LL.M. mult.), admitted as an Attorney at Law in Greece and recently qualified in Germany. She is a Foreign Associate in the Arbitration Team of Hogan Lovells in Munich working mainly in the field of international commercial arbitration.

Special Edition – IWD 2022 – Dana MacGrath

Dana has been recognized as a leader in international arbitration in various directories and she is active within the international arbitration field across arbitral institutions and organizations. Dana is a committed leader in the diversity and inclusion space and holds several positions. Among them is her positon as President of the Board of Directors of ArbitralWomen since 2018, after having joined the Board in 2016.

Edition 10 – Triinu Hiob

Triinu Hiob is a partner at NJORD Law Firm where she heads the firm’s dispute resolution practice in Estonia. She has 20 years of litigation experience but her special interest lies in alternative dispute resolution, especially international arbitration. Triinu both acts as counsel and serves as arbitrator under various institutional rules. Since July 2018, she is a Court member at the ICC International Court of Arbitration.
